ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Skies will remain clear heading into the overnight hours, allowing for temperatures to drop into the low to mid 50s. Our workweek will start off dry. For Monday, you can expect those mostly clear skies to persist on. Temperatures will get a bit warmer than the previous days, surpassing the 70 degree mark and potentially reaching the mid 70s. With warmer high temperatures comes warmer low temperatures. Although our skies will remain mostly clear heading into the overnight hours, the Earth essentially will not be able to cool down into the low 40s like we experienced not too long ago, but rather only fall into the low to mid 50s. Today is day 4 without rain, we'll have at least two more this week before we start to see some on Wednesday night! pic.twitter.com/hHiXX8ec9E— Liam Healy 🌪️ (@LiamHealyWX) October 20, 2024 Our wind direction will change from a westerly flow to more a south-westerly flow, which will allow for even warmer air to rush into WNY. Some thin clouds will move back into the area for Tuesday, giving us filtered sunshine for the day. High temperatures will reach their peak for the week, reaching the upper 70s.  Wednesday, we’ll expect increasing clouds but remain dry during the daylight hours. Some showers are gaining likelihood in the late evening and overnight though. Highs take a hit back to the lower 70s as a result though. 8-Day Forecast Thursday rain arrives, timing is spotty this far out but for now we can say it doesn’t look like it will rain all day. Highs slip into the 50s from here and stay that way for next Friday as well. We will remain dry for the end of the week and into next weekend.
