Monday will be an uncommonly warm sun-filled day in Southern New England. Temperatures will top out into the upper 70s, within striking range of the record high of 81 from 1920. Monday afternoon winds will pick up to 20 knot gusts while relative humidity will be low, creating the opportunity for an elevated fire weather risk. Any outdoor fires will be easy to spread and difficult to contain. Monday night will be crystal clear and not as cool as lows bottom out in the 50s. Sun shines for Tuesday and Wednesday and both days will top out well in the 70s. A cold front will scoot on through Thursday morning with a few clouds and a flip in the wind direction. As a result, temperatures will be much cooler starting with a 65 degree high Thursday and topping out in the upper-50s for Friday. As for the skies, the sun continues to shine on through next weekend too, continuing this dry trend in Southern New England. Categories: News, Weather Forecast
