The streak now hits two days with 100% sunshine at the Indianapolis International Airport. This marks the 9th day of completely sunny skies this month and the 11th day of 2024. This is one of the latest sunny stretches on record. This year's 100% sunshine is the most in at least a decade. More sunshine and warmth are in store on Monday, with highs approaching 80° in several spots. If we hit 80° in Indianapolis, it would be the 116th day of the year and the seventh time this month. On average, October in Indy sees three days with a high of 80° or higher. Thanks to the dominating high pressure that keeps things quiet, this also means no meaningful/needed rain is heading our way.
