NDOT news release CARSON CITY, Nev. – Single lane closures will take place on U.S. 95 near Hawthorne during the week of Oct. 21 as the Nevada Department of Transportation resurfaces a small section of highway. Drivers will see single-lane closures on U.S. 95 just south of Walker Lake between 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on both Monday, Oct. 21 and Thursday, Oct. 24. Speed limits will be reduced to 55 mph. Drivers should anticipate 30-minute travel delays as traffic flaggers guide motorists through the road work zone. The road work schedule is subject to change, with the potential of brief lane closures during other days of the week. The lane closures are for resurfacing a small section of the highway surface which was damaged following a truck crash this summer.
