COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A person is hospitalized after being hit by a car at John Glenn International Airport Sunday afternoon.
According to the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, the person was hit while on Commercial Drive near the rideshare area. The driver remained at the scene, police said.
Columbus Division of Fire Batallion Chief Jeffery Geitter said the victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
Airport fire and police as well as Columbus police and fire departments responded to the scene.
The rideshare lane is currently closed, with rideshares being directed to use the arrival level where normal traffic typically drives. Taxies are being directed to use the departure level.
