Annual Walk With Willow aims to end domestic violence

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Willow Domestic Violence Center held its 16th annual Walk With Willow in Rochester on Sunday. The walk helped raise awareness an money for Willow's life-saving services and programs in the Rochester area.
The walk started and ended at the Stories of Strength mural on the Times Square Building on Exchange Boulevard. The 1.3-mile walk along the Genesee River Trail was meant for the whole family to take part in.
The goal for Sunday's walk was also to raise $50,000 for the average number of 911 calls for domestic disputes in Monroe County every year.
Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, Assemblyman Demond Meeks, Congressman Joe Morelle, Meaghan de Chateauvieux, President & CEO of Willow Domestic Violence Center, and survivors Katherine Hizer and Amy Adams spoke at the walk.
