Hammond packaging facility to get $35M upgrade

HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — A Hammond packaging facility is set to receive a $35 million upgrade.
$3M industrial park opens in New Orleans East
According to Louisiana Economic Development, Graham Packaging is investing $35 million to expand its facility on Pride Drive in Hammond and update its equipment.
LED officials said the expansion is expected to retain more than 100 current jobs while upskilling employees.

"By upskilling local talent and integrating advanced technology, Graham Packaging is demonstrating how investing in innovation can preserve Louisiana jobs," said Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan. B. Bourgeois.
The new expansion and upgrades are expected to be completed in 2027, with new equipment expected to be added before the end of 2024.
