MCCULLY, Hawaii (KHON2) -- A man has been hospitalized in critical condition following a moped versus motor vehicle collision in McCully. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You Honolulu Emergency Medical Services reported the crash happened shortly after 3:15 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of South King Street and Isenberg Street. According to Honolulu police, a 59-year-old male moped rider was traveling southbound on Isenberg Street, where he ran a red light. Bicyclist killed after head-on collision on Haleakala Highway He then collided with a female driver traveling eastbound on South King Street as he crossed the intersection. The moped operator was taken to the hospital. Reports said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
