ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – One person is dead after being struck by a train near Maple Street Saturday night, police confirm. RPD says officers responded to the area around 7:15 p.m. and found one person dead on the train tracks on Maple Street between Saxton Street and Wilder Street. A portion of Maple Street near Wilder Street is blocked off as Rochester police investigate the area. RPD says other resources including CSX police are on the way. Police say the identity of the person struck is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation. Members of News 8 are working to learn more information. This is a developing story.
