WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Emergency services are on the scene of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian where a teenage girl died on Saturday. The call came in around 5:38 p.m. from near Sedgwick County Park at 13th and Ridge Rd. Police said two teens were walking north across 13th St. when someone driving on 13th St. hit one of them. Police said the victim was a teenage girl. She was transferred to a local hospital, where she died. Police completely blocked off 13th St. from Ridge Rd. to North Shore while crews work. Traffic is being diverted through Sedgwick County Park. Speed nor alcohol were a factor in the crash, the Wichita Police Department said.
