The 2024-25 Providence College Late Night Madness celebration returned to the Amica Mutual Pavilion on Saturday, October 19. Over 10,000 students, alumni and families gathered at the AMP to enjoy energetic performances from the PC dance and cheer teams, as well as student dance groups, followed by the introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams. After the dance routines, Head Coach Erin Batth led the women’s basketball team onto the court. After the women’s team was introduced, the men’s squad made an energetic entrance and teamed up with the women’s players for a three-point shooting contest. Head Coach Kim English then took the floor to address Friartown. The night concluded with an entertaining performance by the Zac Brown Band. On Saturday, Oct. 26, the PC men’s basketball team will take on UMass in a charity exhibition game at the Amica Mutual Pavilion with tip-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Rhode Island Free Clinic (RIFC) and Baystate Children’s Hospital. The women’s basketball team will face Southern Connecticut State University in an exhibition game on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall, in Providence, R.I. Both teams will officially kick off the 2024-25 seasons on Monday, Nov. 4. The men’s team will host Central Connecticut at the AMP with the game starting at 7:00 p.m. on FS1, while the women’s team will play Mercy in Alumni Hall with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
