MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- Simmons Farm, a goat farm and beloved staple in Middletown, announced Saturday they're closing after being open for over 25 years. "With heavy hearts, Brian and I are ending our farming journey and will no longer be involved or included in Simmons Farm," the owners said in a social media post. "December 1 will be our final day of operation." In the post, the owners shared they were given a termination of tenancy to be gone by Dec. 31. "We weren’t looking for an easy life, we were looking for a good life and we lived it well as a farm family for over 25 years," the owners said.
