Sunny skies, dry air, and warming temperatures ahead

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Calm, sunny weather is set to continue across the region as high pressure remains dominant over the next several days.
Expect clear skies and dry air with temperatures hovering near average for this time of year. Overnight lows will dip into the low 60s, providing pleasant conditions for the early morning hours.
As the week progresses, a gradual warming trend will take hold, with temperatures climbing about five degrees above average. This is due to a shift in weather patterns that will push high pressure westward, keeping moisture out of the area and allowing for continued sunny conditions. Coastal flooding concerns have diminished, and no flooding is expected during high tides over the next few days.
Winds will be light, ranging from 5 to 10 mph, mostly out of the northeast. Overall, the forecast points to a string of beautiful fall days with no significant weather disruptions in sight.
