WAIKIKI, Hawaii (KHON2) -- Hawaii's longest parade made its way through the Waikiki streets, rallying together more than 150 floats and 4,000-plus participants. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You The parade began at 4 p.m. on Kalakaua Ave and traveled from Magic Island to Kapiolani Park and was "highlighted by five grand marshals and founding board members of Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation. Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation unveils schedule for Honolulu Pride 2024 Parade participants include various businesses, non-profit organizations, social groups, government agencies and much more. Honolulu Pride is the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation’s largest event of the year. It’s not onlya celebration of the MVPFAFF/LGBTQIA+ community, but a time to recognize the allies helpingto make Hawaiʻi a more inclusive place for all. Mahalo to our sponsors, many of whom have supported us year after year to put on this incredible event that provides a fun and safe space for everyone to celebrate who they are. Randy Soriano, HLLF Executive Director Festivities will continue at Waikiki Shell starting at 5 p.m. where parade participants and attendees can enjoy informational booths, food, drinks and other live performances until 9 p.m. If you're looking to celebrate past 9 p.m., additional performances will be held at Hawaii Theatre, Scarlet Honolulu, Hula's Bar and Lei Stand and a drag brunch at Alohilani Resort.
