Trey Fix-Wolansky scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty shot with 1 minute, 53 seconds remaining in the third period, and the Monsters beat host Charlotte, 4-2, on Oct. 19. Roman Ahcan added two goals, including an empty-netter, for Cleveland (2-2). Owen Sillinger scored the Monsters’ other goal, on a power-play. Goalie Pavel Cajan played his first game of the season after being recalled from Cincinnati earlier in the week. He saved 23 shots.
