ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Four adults and two children were displaced following a house fire on Lorimer Street in Rochester Saturday. Rochester Fire Department responded to the house at 12:31 p.m. for the report of smoke coming from the roof of the house. When fire fighters arrived, they found flames and smoke coming from the second story window. RFD says the building was a two-family home and the tenants were exiting the home as fire fighters arrived. Fire crews stretched hose line to the second floor and eventually extinguished the fire. According to RFD, the fire is believed to have started due to an electrical issue. There were no reported injuries as a result of this fire. Red Cross responded to the scene and is helping house the six people displaced due to the fire.
