ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two businesses are now open at 777 Culver Road in Rochester. On the first floor and in front, is Ware to Wear! It's a new clothing and accessory boutique, with both vintage finds and new items, all curated by owner Nick Schroeder. Before opening his own brick-and-mortar, Schroeder worked at Marshall's, sold for Poshmark (an e-commerce platform), and other vintage second stores in Rochester, like Little Shop of Hoarders. Ware to Wear features shirts, outwear, shoes, accessories… and more. Schroeder specialized in unique or rare items. His new times are typically new as of last season. Wear to Ware has negotiable prices, a loyalty program and renting options. The business is hosting a Halloween sale October 25 through 27. If you come in costume, you get a discount. And one door down, Rochester's first public Homechow kiosk is open! At the kiosk, you can select your meal, and it's heated and ready to eat, right from inside the machine. Items include chicken parm, lobster mac and cheese, and vegan options. The start-up company has several kiosks in private businesses, and looks to open more. Those meals are made by Sweet Pea Kitchen. The kitchen focuses on packaged plant-based meal plans for delivery or pickup, but it's adding meat options for Homechow and beyond. Both businesses look to expand across the state next year. Know of or own a business that's opening soon? You can email Dan directly at [email protected].
