ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For a third consecutive week, and the first time in 108 years, the Lobo football team has scored 50 points. Once again, UNM was victorious as it claimed a 50-45 victory over Utah State on Saturday. The win marks the first time the Lobos have won three straight games since 2016. After trailing 0-17 to open the game, UNM was able to turn the tables in the second half. The Lobos outscored the Aggies 21-7 in the fourth quarter. Despite a few turnovers, the Lobo offense continued to put up points and yards. UNM finished the game with 552 offensive yards consisting of 280 on the ground and 272 in the air. Luke Wysong played a crucial role in the offense production. He caught 10 balls for 156 yards. Ryan Davis also had a solid outing with four receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Devon Dampier led the team in rushing with 105 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Eli Sanders and Javen Jacobs were also efficient as 75 and 63 total yards, respectively, and two total touchdowns each. With the win, UNM improved to 3-4 on the seaosn. Up next is a road game against Colorado State next Saturday.
