RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The suspect in the deadly assault that took place last week in Scott's Addition turned himself in on Saturday -- police are still looking for three other people of interest. According to the Richmond Police Department (RPD), the suspect -- identified now as 27-year-old Nico Rivera -- surrendered at RPD Headquarters on Saturday, Oct. 19. Rivera has been charged with second degree murder. This surrender and subsequent charge comes after officers were called to the 2800 block of West Marshall Street at around 2:14 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 for a report of an aggravated assault. (PREVIOUSLY): ‘How very loved he was’: Family begs for answers after deadly assault in Scott’s Addition Once on scene, officers found 26-year-old Jacob Baldwin down and unresponsive with an injury to his head at the intersection of West Marshall and North Sheppard streets. Baldwin was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he died due to his injuries on Wednesday, Oct. 16. According to RPD, detectives have determined that Baldwin was "involved in an altercation where he was struck and injured." Detectives are currently seeking to identify three other people of interest -- two women and a man -- who may have knowledge of the incident.
