SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) -- An investigation is underway into a crash that involved three motorcycles on 195 westbound in Swansea. Massachusetts State Police said the crash happened around 4:04 p.m. near exit 8. There were three people with "serious personal injury" brought to nearby hospitals, according to state police. At one point all lanes of the highway were shut down and traffic was being diverted through the breakdown lane. State Police said two lanes are now getting by. The investigation is being assisted by the Bristol County District Attorney's office. It's unclear at this time what caused the crash.
