STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) — The Food and Resource Center "Our Daily Bread" is partnering with Love, Tito's "Block to Block" program and is looking for volunteers to help restore the community garden. Volunteers are needed for Monday, October 21, to assist in making improvements towards the community gardens mulch pathways in a way to make them more accessible to all who visit the garden. Those who choose to volunteer will also help increase the overall space of the garden by building up groundwork for a shaded pavilion, building picnic tables, and installing benches. Breakfast pastries will be provided as well as a full lunch, 'Love, Tito's' shirts, gloves, tools, water refill stations, SPF and bug spray. Our Daily Bread is a food and resource center known for supporting those looking for access to fresh food, providing community resources and educational opportunities. The organization served around 14,000 households in Payne County in 2023. Volunteer work will begin at 10 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. at the Our Daily Bread Community Garden at 4701 E. 12th Ave. in Stillwater. Those interested in volunteering can sign up here.
