EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Chapin High School basketball standout Jayden Leverett will make his college commitment on Saturday, Oct. 19. Leverett is scheduled to make his commitment during KTSM 9 News at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Earlier this month, the senior cut his college choices down to four: Vanderbilt, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma State. Leverett is entering his senior year of high school. Last year, he had a breakout season, averaging 14.1 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, and 1.9 blocks per game. The 6-foot-10 big man was a key player on Chapin's squad that went 34-5 overall and 10-0 in District 1-5A play. The Huskies made a deep playoff run and played its way to the Class 5A Regional Final (Elite 8).
