Fourstar recruit Jayden Leverett to announce college commitment

UPDATE: Chapin High's Jayden Leverett announced that he will attend Vanderbilt University.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Chapin High School basketball standout Jayden Leverett will make his college commitment on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Leverett is scheduled to make his commitment during KTSM 9 News at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The four-star center collected a total of 15 offers from NCAA Division I programs throughout his high-school career at Chapin.
Earlier this month, the senior cut his college choices down to four: Vanderbilt, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma State.

According to 247 Sports, Leverett is a four-star recruit, a Top 150 player in the Class of 2025, and a Top 25 Center in the Class of 2025.
Leverett is entering his senior year of high school. Last year, he had a breakout season, averaging 14.1 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, and 1.9 blocks per game. The 6-foot-10 big man was a key player on Chapin's squad that went 34-5 overall and 10-0 in District 1-5A play. The Huskies made a deep playoff run and played its way to the Class 5A Regional Final (Elite 8).
