ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Food trucks will be added to the East and Alexander entertainment district in Rochester as the city enters its fourth weekend when streets in the East and Alexander Street area will be closed to vehicular traffic between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Traffic will remain open for residents, employers, and two food trucks. Business owners in the district have added food trucks and increased parking options in the area. Food trucks “Marty’s Meats”, and “Vasko’s”, will be parked on the street within the district from 10 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. Multiple parking areas will be available located off South Union Street. The East & Alex Business Association will place seven Josh Allen bobbleheads at seven of the bar locations on Saturday. The participating businesses are: Recreo, Filgers, Murphy’s Law, Vinyl, Daily Refresher, Swan Dive, and Axes and Ales. The first person to find each bobblehead, take a selfie with it, and post on Instagram tagging @eastandalex will receive 10 free Sunday Football Block Party tickets for October 27 and you are able to keep the bobblehead. The Sunday Football Block Party has sold over 750 tickets. The last three weekends have consistently had 1,500-2,000 patrons who have enjoyed thequiet streets and the many bar and restaurant options that East and Alexander provides. Customers 18 years of age and older will be granted entry at the Alexander Street/Chapman Alley entrance.
