ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) - Rochester Police say a man was shot in his vehicle Friday night before attempting to drive away and crashing. RPD was called to the 400 block of South Ave around 10 p.m. for the report of a person shot. They located a 29-year-old man who had at least one gunshot wound. He was brought to Strong Memorial Hosptial where his injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening. The investigation determined he was actually shot on Walton Street near Alexander Street. Police said he was sitting in his parked vehicle when at least one suspect approached and opened fire. The man tried to drive away but hit a parked car. He managed to get out and run to South Ave where he called 911. No suspects are in custody and no one was else was injured. Rochester Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
