INDIANAPOLIS - An Indiana State Trooper was struck by a vehicle on the interstate on Indy's south side Saturday morning. According to Indiana State Police, just after 3 a.m., the trooper was hit while he was outside hit car on I-465 eastbound near US-31 and South East Street. ISP has indicated the trooper was transported from the scene to an area hospital for treatment. ISP did not state the seriousness of the trooper's injuries. ISP says the trooper was working to help clean up a previous accident on I-465 eastbound when a vehicle struck the trooper's car. The trooper was standing outside the car at the time, but the collision led to the trooper getting hit by their own vehicle, according to police. No additional information was released.
