ROBBINSVILLE – The Boswell named is synonymous with success at Hamilton West. You can add Brian’s career effort against Robbinsville as one of the family’s best. The junior ran for 200 yards and scored four times as West took a 43-21 win over Robbinsville to ruin the Ravens’ Senior night on the turf at the Steven J. Mayer Athletic Complex in a West Jersey Football League Valley Division game on Friday night. The win snaps a two-game losing skid for the Hornets (2-2, 2-2 Valley) and the loss extends the injury-depleted Ravens (2-6, 1-3 Valley) losing skid to four games. The meeting was the first between the two Mercer County schools. “I feel great,’’ Boswell said. “I’m so glad I had the game like this, we knew we could get this win and my offensive line did a great job for me.’’ Boswell’s older brother, Kevin, was quite the player with 3,664 rushing yards during his time in the orange and black. But, this night belonged to Brian. “Those Boswell’s are all studs,’’ said West coach Mike Papero. “We haven’t been giving him the blocking he needed to have one of these games. I try not to compare him to Kevin too much, because he’s his own person. Brian has the dog in him and that is not something that everyone that plays football has.’’ The Ravens were without quarterback Gavin Yablonowitz, who has thrown for nearly 1,500 yards this season, their starting back Chris Naperkoski, starting wide receiver Eddie Keating and linebacker Hayden Perusich. It was a game that had more twists and turns than a roller-coaster. “I’m so proud of these guys,’’ said Papero. “When they came back we very easily could’ve very easily put our heads down, but instead we blocked a little harder, tackled a little harder and we pushed a little harder. I’m happy about a lot of things but most happy to the response to adversity.’’ Hamilton took advantage of two early Ravens fumbles to score twice and then when Robbinsville failed to convert a fourth and 15 from their own 31 yardline Hornets took and took advantage scoring on a Mike Brescio one-yard run and it was 21-0 with 6:34 left in the half. Getting more comfortable under center on every series, Noah Schwartz, normally a tight end, began bringing the Ravens back with 16 yard pass to Alex Giordano and it was 21-7 at the half. Schwartz had a great third period as the Ravens tied the game on a Schwartz run to make it 21-14 and then he galloped 45 yards and it suddenly was 21-21 with 1:49 left in the third. Schwartz had over 110 yards rushing in the second half and 60 yards passing. “We really wanted to win,’’ said Boswell. “We knew the defense was going to be there. We got ourselves back on track.’’ West took the kickoff when it got tied at 21-all and drove the field on Boswell’s leg’s. He had runs of  47, 21 and the final nine yards to make it 28-21 with 10:41 left. After a great defensive stop on 4-and-4 at the 14, Boswell did it again with a little help from Figueroa. Boswell had runs of 42 and 12, Figueroa added 20 and Boswell capped it off with another score and it was 34-21 with 4:30 to play. Hamilton West added a safety for the final score, and the losing streak was over. “When you lose it hurts every day,’’ said Papero. “Especially because these are great kids and deserve a win. Winning is a great feeling.’’
