HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is fighting for his life after he was found shot near multiple apartment complexes in the Highland Springs area of Henrico County on Friday. At about 5:39 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the area of Newbridge Road and Yates Lane -- an intersection surrounded by apartment complexes, including Newbridge, Coventry Gardens and Summerdale Apartments -- for report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found "evidence of a shooting" and a man who had been shot. According to police, he was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. No additional information is available. Detectives remain at the scene as of the time of reporting, continuing to investigate this incident.
