Sweater weather is finally here! It has been an incredibly warm October, but a stronger cold front and storm will bring those temperatures down quite a bit this weekend!A winter-like storm is moving across Colorado. The southwestern mountains will see the heaviest snow, with evening rainfall likely for much of the Denver metro area. The rain sticks around the city overnight into Saturday morning, and we could see a light rain/snow mix around the Palmer Divide early Saturday.A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the San Juans from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning for 1 to 2 feet of snow above 8,500 feet in elevation. The Front Range mountains will see up to 6 inches of snow. This storm moves out of the metro area on Sunday. We'll see partly cloudy skies and a very slight chance of a few isolated showers. Highs will jump into the mid- to upper- 60s Sunday afternoon.Warmer and drier weather return early next week. Look for temperatures to soar into the 70s along with plenty of sunshine all week long. Wet and chilly in Denver for the next couple of daysDENVER WEATHER LINKS: Hourly forecast | Radars | Traffic | Weather Page | 24/7 Weather Stream Click here to watch the Denver7 live weather stream.
