Employees burned by coolant system at Johnston power station

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — First responders were called to the power station on Shun Pike in Johnston after three employees were burned.
First responders on scene said that a coolant system at EDL Energy failed, and the hot hydraulic fluid resulted in burns to three workers.
Two were brought to Rhode Island hospital for evaluation while the third refused treatment.
The Department of Environmental Management was also on scene for the cleanup of the spill.
There is no danger to the public.
