NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the City of New Orleans have released new information on the city's preparations for Taylor Swift's "Era's Tour" concerts, happening at the Caesars Super Dome from Oct. 25 to 27. Officials say that the city is expecting 150,000 people with hotel occupancy at 100% for Friday and Saturday, with some availability on Sunday. In response, there are some limitations put in place around the Superdome to allow for effective and safe pedestrian flow in the city over the weekend. Traffic restrictions may be put in place on the following streets:  Poydras Street (North Claiborne Avenue to Convention Center Boulevard)  Canal Street (North Claiborne Avenue to N. Peters Street)  Loyola Avenue (North Iberville Street to Calliope Street)  MSY preps for travel influx with installation of new security equipment Additionally, parking restrictions might be put in place as they become necessary. Street closures will be based on pedestrian flow but are expected to begin around 6 p.m. The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority may have delays or detours on their normal routes during the events. Information on that can be found on the RTA's website or by calling 504-248-3900. The RTA also plans to operate a second vessel for the Canal Street and Algiers Point ferry service in order to alleviate the the expected increase in demand. The Office of Cultural Economy will also be hosting the "Embrace the Culture Festival" over all three nights of the concert. The festival will take place from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. in Duncan Plaza on Oct 25, 26 and 27. It will feature New Orleans and Louisiana's unique music, art and food. New Taylor Swift-like coral at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas Duncan Plaza is also planned to be the ride-share and transportation hub for concert attendees. Uber and Lyft rideshare at Duncan Plaza goes into effect on Oct. 24 and will run on Gravier Street and Perdido Street from Loyola Avenue to Lasalle Street. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 24, there will be public early merchandise sales taking place in Champions Square from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. From Oct. 25 to Oct. 27, further public merchandise sales will take place at the Smoothie King Center, also from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Champions Square will have additional merchandise sales for those with tickets to that day's show over the weekend. The items will go for sale at 2:30 p.m. and last until the end of the concert.
