Memphis Police have not released a motive for Friday morning's fatal shooting but more than one resident said the incident may have been the result of domestic violence between the man and the woman. Kevin Gray just recently moved into Memphis Towers and said he is shocked. "I saw the lady. We was down there playing cards last night and I don't know what went on or whatever the case was. I mean he shot the lady in the head five times. That's my understanding of it," Gray said. Management of Memphis towers released this statement on the shooting: "This morning, management was notified of an isolated shooting incident at Memphis Towers. The alleged shooter has been taken into custody, and local law enforcement is conducting a thorough investigation. "As part of the ongoing investigation, police have temporarily restricted access to and from the property. We are working closely with authorities to ensure the safety and security of our residents. Memphis Towers is home to a senior community, and their well-being is our top priority. We are committed to keeping our residents informed and providing them with the necessary support during this challenging time." The investigation is ongoing.
