FISHERS, Ind. — The Fishers Police Department arrested two Indianapolis men for auto theft and multiple preliminary felony charges following a brief pursuit that took place Wednesday. According to FPD, officers located a suspected stolen vehicle on Wednesday: a black GMC Yukon. Police then confirmed the vehicle was stolen and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. FPD said the driver of the GMC did not stop, leading to a pursuit. Shortly after that, two suspects inside the vehicle exited and fled on foot. The brief foot pursuit eventually led to the arrest of Lee Flegal, who was then taken into custody. Per FPD, officers later found the other suspect, Patrick Alexander, hiding in a nearby dumpster. He was taken into custody as well. Police officers searched the GMC Yukon and found drug paraphernalia, such as syringes and glass pipes. As a result, Patrick Alexander faces the following charges: Conversion (Level 5 felony) Two counts of resisting law enforcement (one a Level 6 felony, the other a Class A misdemeanor) Unlawful possession of a syringe (Level 6 felony) Two counts of auto theft (Level 6 and Level 5 felony, respectively) Maintaining a common nuisance — controlled substances (Level 6 felony) Reckless driving (Class C misdemeanor) Booking photo of Patrick Alexander, provided by FPD. Meanwhile, Lee Flegal faces the following charges: Unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle (Level 6 felony) Unlawful possession of a syringe (Level 6 felony) Resisting law enforcement (Class A misdemeanor) Booking photo of Lee Flegal, provided by FPD.
