FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Fire Department put out the flames at a home south of downtown Friday afternoon. The fire started around 4 p.m. at a home on the corner of Oliver and Greene streets, near Bunche Elementary School. The home appeared to be among a row of three houses; the extent of the damage has not yet been determined. By 5:30 p.m., the fire had died down, officials confirmed. Fort Wayne firefighters work to put out the flames at a home south of downtown Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Several crews responded to the scene, using what appeared to be a trampoline to help navigate the damage. Details have yet to be released. It's unclear if anyone was injured, or how the flames ignited.
