BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A Ladson man accused of shooting a victim in the head was arrested Tuesday and booked on several charges, including trafficking and attempted murder. Anthony Curtis Waldron, Jr., 36, was charged with trafficking fentanyl 4 grams or more, two counts of possession of controlled substance, attempted murder, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. An investigation was launched after deputies were called to a home on Caromi Drive on Oct. 6 for reports of a shooting. Once there, they found the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives identified Waldron as the suspect and asked the U.S. Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force for assistance. Marshals found Waldron at the Summerville Walmart on North Main Street Tuesday. A takedown occurred, and Waldron was taken into custody. After searching his vehicle, law enforcement found about 7 grams of fentanyl. Waldron was booked at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
