WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) is asking for the community’s help in finding a home for over a hundred dogs as they deal with overcrowding.
The shelter said it can only house 115 dogs but currently has 177 dogs in shelters and 121 in foster.

HRA said that in the last two months, 704 dogs entered its shelters with only 448 getting adopted, returning to their homes, or being transferred to partner agencies, in that same time frame.
As a way to deal with overcrowding and finding these pups a loving home, the shelter is waiving adoption fees from Oct. 18 through Oct. 20.
