ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It's time to sign up for a great race for a good cause. The 15th annual Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run is Saturday, November 2nd. Kerrie Merz launched this in 2010 and says last year more than 1,200 runners, donors, and sponsors helped support Foodlink and dozens of other food pantries and meal programs. In total, they've raised more than $500,000 to address food insecurity in the Rochester area. It's quite an accomplishment for what initially started with just a 5K. Now they have 10K, 5K, and 1K options plus the Boogie for Broccoli for the littlest runners. Learn more about signing up here.
