WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A 15-year-old girl was killed in a crash in southwest Kansas on Thursday. It happened at U.S. Highway 54 and County Road 17 around 3:50 p.m. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Chevy 1500 driven by Emilee Megan Grace Hamilton of Liberal turned westbound on the highway and was hit by a semi. Both vehicles came to rest in the north ditch. Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene. The 60-year-old driver of the semi from Wichita was not injured.
