MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) - An animal welfare investigation has discovered over two dozen animals in need of rescue. According to the Town of Middleborough, Friday morning animal control officers executed an administrative warrant at 53 Precinct Street and found 17 dogs inside the home that were living in poor conditions, including no access to food or water, and in need of medical care. Plans are underway with local animal care agencies to have them removed. Two cats, a turtle, and a guinea pig were also found and are being removed. Sighting of mountain lion in Massachusetts confirmed in Goshen At the same time, the MSPCA Law Enforcement Department executed a criminal warrant regarding horses on the property. The house has been condemned as a health hazard and declared a fire hazard. The Middleborough Police Department has not filed any criminal charges pending further investigation.
