SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin verbally committed to the University of Georgia on Friday at Eckburg Gym on the campus of Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
Griffin, whose top three included Miami and Southern California, is set to take an official visit to Georgia later this year.
According to Maxpreps, through six games this season Griffin has 26 solo tackles and assisted on seven more for a total of 33 tackles. This includes 17 tackles for loss.
Griffin is ranked No. 5 in ESPN's top 300 high school player rankings. Previously, he was ranked No. 1 in the nation by Rivals.com.
