University of Texas football fans have launched an online petition to ban U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz from the school's sporting events on the basis of the so-called "Cruz Curse." Launched ahead of the Longhorns' much-anticipated matchup this Saturday against the University of Georgia Bulldogs, the petition is based on lore that Lone Star State teams lose games the Republican senator attends. The petition, launched Sept. 29, has amassed more than 1,500 signatures as of press time.
