NEW BEDFORD Mass. (WLNE) — A 22-year-old woman who was arrested back in July for the improper disposable of a body pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday. Daniela Michell Escobar-Mejia was charged with the improper disposal of a body back in July. Escobar-Meija’s baby was found at Fort Taber Park on Dec. 9, 2023. Police said that DNA analysis and surveillance footage led detectives to Escobar-Mejia. Officials said due to the state of decomposition of the infant, it was unable to be determined if the baby had been alive before the alleged dumping and the cause of death could not be determined. Escobar-Meija pleaded guilty, and was ordered two years of probation. She was also ordered to parental classes and receive counseling. Categories: News
