CARROLLTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Tragic details have emerged regarding the house fire in Carrollton that claimed the lives of a woman and her children, though one young girl was miraculously rescued. The fire, reported early Thursday morning on Fifth Street, took a devastating toll on the family.
Local police confirmed that firefighters were dispatched around 6 a.m. and discovered a three-year-old girl by the back door. She was initially rushed to Carroll County Memorial Hospital but later airlifted to a hospital in Louisville due to the severity of her condition.
State Representative Felicia Rabourn shared in a heartfelt Facebook post that the mother and her three children did not survive the blaze. Rabourn reflected on the deep ties the family had within the community, emphasizing that their relationships “will last forever.” Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with multiple agencies involved.
