INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was shot near an intersection on the near east side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. IMPD said that officers responded to a report of a person shot near the intersection of E. 10th St. and N. Rural St. at around 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The scene was later found to be in the 200 block of Eastern Ave. When officers arrived, they located a person who had "injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s)." The department said that the person was reported to be in critical condition. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
