The Garden City Police Department took a fraud report from a business in the 3500 block of N. Prospect Way on Thursday. CBS2 reports an unknown suspect went to multiple banks with fraudulent checks from this business and cashed two checks totaling over $5000. As the investigation progressed, Garden City Officers identified the suspect as 32-year-old Jesse Foy of Boise. Officers from the Garden City and Meridian Police IMPACT team located Foy at a Boise motel. Foy was contacted and arrested without incident. Foy is currently on parole for Grand Theft by any Common Law Larceny, Embezzlement, Extortion or Receiving Stolen Goods. Garden City’s Police Chief reports Foy was released before serving his sentence and that this incident would not have happened if Foy was not released before his sentence satisfaction date of July 12, 2025.
