PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — High pressure is going to stay put over the Mid-Atlantic, keeping our skies clear through next week!
Today, there is a Frost Advisory in effect until 9 am from the Blue Ridge, eastward. There is a Freeze Warning for our mountain counties until 9 a.m. In the Piedmont, we can enjoy the sunshine and warmer temperatures through the afternoon with highs in the upper-60s. FOX8 High School Football Frenzy games are in great shape this evening.
Bring a blanket for snuggling and a few extra dollars for hot chocolate. Temperatures will be falling through the 50s through gametime.
Clear skies are ahead for tonight with lows in the lower-40s.
We may gain a few clouds late Saturday, otherwise, it's a sunny outlook for GHOE and the NC State Fair! Highs will be in the lower-70s.
The dry, sunny trend continues into next week. Temperatures will continue to warm into the mid-to upper-70s during the first half of the work week before cooling to 73° Thursday afternoon.
