We'll have one more cold and frosty night with clear skies and light winds. Overnight lows will fall into the 30s and lower 40s. Along and west of I-95, it will be closest to the freezing mark, and frost could develop again. A warming trend starts as the ridge settles overhead and slides slightly east of the area over the weekend. The warmth will be noticeable starting tomorrow, with high temperatures into the upper 60s for most locations. It will feel even better on Saturday and Sunday, reaching the lower 70s and mid-70s, respectfully. Sunny afternoons will give way to clear and calm nights, but overnight lows will start trending up, too. By the end of the weekend, we will only see temperatures bottom out in the lower to middle 40s. This sunny, quiet stretch shows no sign of slowing down as we head into next week. The same ridge of high pressure won't budge or lose strength through next Wednesday and Thursday, which means dry conditions well into late October. Temperatures will remain seasonably warm each day, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s. A few clouds may return during the middle of next week as a storm system passes well north of the DMV, but that will be the only minor change coming over the next several days. 7-Day Forecast: Tonight: Mostly clear skies.
