County Fire Department and deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Valencia.  “There was a family dispute prior to the collision,” said Deputy Dakota Whitaker. “One of the parties within the family tried to leave, and while in reverse, backed up into a parked vehicle and then fled the location.”  According to Luis Garcia, spokesman for the Fire Department, fire personnel were dispatched at 4:41 p.m. to the 24600 block of Town Center Drive for a traffic collision initially reported as involving a pedestrian and arrived on the scene at 4:48 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 4:40 p.m. and arrived 10 minutes later.  Whitaker added that authorities are looking for a gray Mazda with a California license plate of 6LIT288, as well as the suspected driver of the vehicle.  It was reported that there was no treatment given at the scene and no patient was transported.
