COLLEGE PARK, Md. (DC News Now) -- A 13-year-old boy was charged with a sex offense at the University of Maryland (UMD), police said Thursday. The UMD Police Department said that the incident happened on Sept. 6 on College Avenue near Princeton Avenue. Georgetown University says group of students accessed unauthorized data that contained sensitive, academic information A student told police that around 11 a.m., she was walking in that area when a "young male" walked up to her and started to ask her questions. She said that during that conversation, the boy touched her inappropriately before running away and leaving down the hiker-biker trail. On Thursday, Oct. 17, UMD police said that they had identified the suspect as the 13-year-old boy. He was charged for the incident.
