"There's no better way to make your dreams come true than to open your own shop, and working with my wife is a dream come as well," Kendall said. Kendall has been working for Lego for 8 years, and he always loved Lego. For Jessica: "I… To be honest, did not play with Lego until I married Kendall," she said. At Bricks ROC, it's part retail, and part event space. In retail, it's anything Lego you can think of, from new sets, new-in-box sets from retired lines, individual pieces, accessories, and a "build your own mini-figure" bar. "It's always a favorite, and a staple to create your own character however you want," Kendall said. For events, you, your family, a party can rent the back for two hours at a time. As the business ramps up, they'll bring back mobile and private events. Jessica aims to keep working with rec centers and schools. "For kids, it really can help grow their social skills, their communication, and their problem solving," she said. For both, it's about the love of Lego. "I have a degree in art," Kendall said. "For me this is my art medium I can't paint, but I can build Lego." "It's us and our two kids and we want to share the joy and the passion of Lego with Rochester," Jessica said.
