MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A new "unique coffee shop concept" is opening in Merced in November. The new coffee shop is called the Sensory Lab By ASIP. According to ASIP's website, it all began with an idea by its owner Justin Shen. The website states that Shen believes that coffee beans, as the seeds of fruits, can be brewed and taste juice, as opposed to just bitter black water. ASIP's website says they roast, brew, and serve their coffee in the Central Valley, and they love to let their coffee speak. People can explore the vibrant spaces, groove to the DJ, indulge in delicious food, coffee, and snag some gifts at the grand opening, according to a social media post. The Sensory Lab's grand opening will be on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. It is located at 847 W. Main St., Merced.
